How it works
Choose your stone and get a quote
We can give you a very accurate all inclusive quotation for your new or replacement kitchen worktops, or other stone surface requirements, if you can provide a set of measurements, or ideally a plan of your new kitchen or bathroom. It helps to give us an idea of what material you think you’d like, or an idea of the colour or shade, but we can help make recommendations that match your budget.
Ordering the stone
Once our price has been accepted, we ask for a small deposit. The deposit will secure your chosen Granite, Quartz or Marble, but more importantly make sure it is at our factory ready for processing.
Once you know when your units will be installed, its time to give us a call and let us know when you think your units are ready for templating. This is when all the base units and/or range cooker are installed, and the sink and/or hob are on site. If you are purchasing a sink and tap from us, we will usually bring these with us to the template. We are happy to liaise with your builder or fitter if that’s easier for you.
It is highly advisable that you are present when the template is carried out, so that we can understand all the finishes you require, such as edges and corners. The template takes about 2-3 hours, and shows you a physical representation of how your finished worktops will look. The templates are made out of plastic correx. This light weight material is very easy for us to work, so any modifications can be easily made. At this point we ask for the 50% balance to be paid (minus the deposit already received).
Once we have the templates back at our factory, it takes about 7 days for us to manufacture the Granite, Quartz or Marble. During this time we will liaise with you regarding an appropriate time to come back and install. On average, it takes us about half a day to install, and we like you to be there at completion, so that we can show you the finished job, run through any care and maintenance advice, and collect the final balance in full.
In most cases we finish the job on the day of installation, and leave behind a very happy customer. However, there is sometimes a requirement for us to come back and finish something, or rectify a slight issue, or even deliver an additional requirement, which we understand is part of the process, and very important to our customers, and future recommendations.
